Research on Armenian Architecture (RAA) Foundation (http://www.raa.am; http://www.raa-usa.org; http://www.armenianarchitecture.us) conducts research into the monuments of material culture preserved in Armenian provinces and monuments located in the territory of Historical Armenia, as well as in Cilicia and in the Armenian Diaspora.
Our priorities are the same everywhere, Armenian historical monuments are to be recorded in maps, photographs, measurements and film facts before their total annihilation.

QUESTIONNAIRES OF MONUMENTS
In accordance with the agreement No. 89, signed between RAA and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia on 26 March 2010, work began for the compilation of survey forms for the monuments of Western Armenia. Within the framework of this project, research was carried out in Gyavash (Reshtunik) and Van-Tosp Districts, Western Armenia. During the year, 450 questionnaires were prepared and inserted in 9 volumes, each of them with 50 monuments. The agreement stipulates that these studies should continue until at least 2013.

RESEARCH IN IRAN
From 5 June until 6 July 2010, within the programme of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia to carry out studies of the Armenian architectural heritage located abroad, the working team of RAA NGO was busy implementing research in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Work was mainly unfolded in Nor Jugha, Teheran, Tabriz, as well as in the villages of Arak District and in its adjacent districts, Charmahal, Peria, Kyazaz, Kyamara, Gharaghan, Gyapla, Burvari. RAA research team also worked in the cities of Shiraz and Arak. In 122 rural places (7 of them have been stripped of their Armenian inhabitants since the repatriation of 1946) situated in these districts, as well as in the city of Shiraz, 3,138 monuments were recorded.
Research unfolded in Iran yielded, on the whole, 20,000 photos of monuments, ancient sites and gravestones.

The oldest of the churches-18 in number, were measured together with a spring. The total number of photographs taken during this research trip is 3,800.

The work is supervised by architect S. Ayvazian. At present the first floor of its eastern wing and the walls of its second floor have already been completed. Now preparations are being made for the beginning of the restoration of the vault of its second storey. Under the restoration project, the guest chamber is planned to be used as a Prior's dwelling in the future.
On 1 July 2010, the restoration project of one of the buildings of Dadivank-formerly used as an assembly hall where different solemn events used to be held-was completed. Construction work within its restoration is planned to begin in 2011.
